Majalah Kedokteran Bandung (MKB)/Bandung Medical Journal publishes peer-reviewed original articles and case reports in basic medical research, clinical research, applied medical science, and public health research. This journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December) by Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran. Articles are original research that needs to be disseminated and written in English. All submitted manuscripts will go through a double-blind peer review and editorial review before being granted acceptance for publication.

Majalah Kedokteran Bandung was issued for the first time in 1967. MKB received ISSN 0126-074X for its printed version in 2007 and starting from Vol. 41 No. 1, 2009, it has also received the ISSN 2338-6223 for an online version under the policy of BRIN. Therefore, our publication from March 2009 to December 2014 was back-issued.

Majalah Kedokteran Bandung (MKB) is accredited (2020-2025) by the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) and Managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia with Second Grade (Peringkat 2, Sinta 2) (No. 158/E/KPT/2021).

Abstracted and indexed in: Portal Garuda, IPI, SINTA, Google Scholar, DRJI, EBSCO host, CiteFactor, BASE, Crossref, DOAJ, Web of Science Master List (ESCI), etc. 

This is another milestone for our Journal, Majalah Kedokteran Bandung (MKB). Starting from December 2018, all articles submitted to Majalah Kedokteran Bandung should be in English. If your articles is still in Indonesian. Please do not hesitate to contact us.   

Starting in 2024, Majalah Kedokteran Bandung will increase its publication frequency to include 12 articles per issue. This adjustment aims to enhance the journal's capacity to accommodate a broader range of valuable research contributions in the fields of basic medical research, clinical research, applied medical science, and public health research.

It is our delight to inform you that, since 2021, the MKB has been indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), which is one of the online databases in the Web of Science list. We would like to extend our gratitude for your contributions in our journal that have enabled us to be recognized in the ESCI index.
